Bi-annual meeting of the « Cellular Proteolysis » group of the French Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Event Date: 15 February, 2015

The objective of this meeting is to follow scientific developments in cellular proteolysis in both physiological and pathological contexts. In all living organisms, proteins are produced during a process called “protein synthesis” and degraded in a process called “proteolysis”. These cellular mechanisms contribute to the continuous renewal of certain proteins in the fine regulation of many biological processes, and adaptation to environmental changes. They thus contribute to the physiology of living organisms both in unicellular or multicellular organisms, animals and plants.

Given the important role of cellular proteolysis in the monitoring and control of diseases, the knowledge on the basic plan for the mode of action of proteases can be applied therapeutically or plant protection. The conference sessions cover all these issues, leaving time for exchanges between young researchers and established researchers and for convivial moments.
