X-ZOMES “The broader cellular impact of PCI complexes”, will take place in Akko Israel, from 4th to 7th February 2019.
ZOMES conference series started in 1998 as a discussion platform of an international group of scientists that aimed at understanding the relationship between the 26S proteasome and the COP9 signalosome and the eIF3. Since then, nine ZOMES conferences have taken place in Israel, Turkey, Germany, the United States, Japan, China and Italy, each with their unique flavor and emphasis. The last meeting took place in 2017 at Rome, Italy (Link: http://www.zomesix.com/).
X-ZOMES, the 10th in the series, will focus on the broader cellular context of Zomes, and the mutual links between ubiquitin/ubiquitin-like proteins and protein degradation mechanisms.
ZOMES are grassroots, community-based meetings; therefore, as at previous ZOMES meetings, our concept is to reduce costs to all attendees in order to allow participation of young scientists and provide a welcoming platform for trainees and untenured PIs to present their work.
