2nd IFOM Symposium – Advanced Lecture Course “Ubiquitin-assisted autophagy from mechanisms to pathology”(CO-ORGANIZED BY PROTEOSTASIS)

Event Date: 11 October, 2017 to 13 October, 2017

The chief objective of this course is to present to the newcomers in the field the state-of-the-art knowledge and methodology to study the role of ubiquitin in autophagic processes and in its dysregulation in neurodegeneration. Different topics will be covered each day by three trainers. The program includes lectures, posters, tutorials (“meet the expert” sessions) and oral poster presentation sessions that will enable young scientists to interact with some of the best international experts in the field of ubiquitin-mediated autophagy and neurodegeneration. It is a crucial mission of PROTEOTASIS to spread the knowledge in the field, especially at the moment when the network as such will come to an end, to set the basis for a new generation of groups interested in the field of PROTEOSTASIS. This course will be complementary with the practical course proposed for this period, which will have a more practical focus. The thematic wil be of interest to participants form all the WGs.

Furthermore, the Training School will be co-organized in collaboration with the COST Action TRANSAUTOPHAGY (already approved in the W&B Plan of this Action), which will allow synergies between the 2 Actions.
